Help needed!

I'm currently looking for a customer-service person.  Main roles would be :

(1) answering questions about the Snorer's Friend from prospective customers
(2) helping recent purchasers with troubleshooting or refunds
(3) following up the occasional lost parcel when Australia Post lets us down
(4) being creative and proactive in solving customer problems

Most of the customer interaction is via email, so the person would need to have good typing skills and be able to communicate well in email.  This includes being acutely aware of the different communication styles customers may use and replying appropriately.  A good phone voice and manner is also important, as we do get some phone enquiries.

The focus is on impeccable customer service, and achieving 100% delighted customers must be important to you.  Almost all of our customers are pleasant, reasonable people, and easy to get along with.  However, we do get  some difficult and rude ones from time to time.  Your responsibilities would include delighting those customers as well.

In addition to the above, this is a very small business so you'd need to be excited about mucking in and helping with other duties that will crop up as the business grows. 

A person who already has experience running a business of their own would get extra special consideration, as would a person who just wanted to come and "see how it's done" for a year or two before starting their own business.  I'd be very happy to help you with that.

Bonus points would be awarded for experience in developing applications using Microsoft Access and VBA.

The position is based in our Brompton warehouse.  Hours would be totally flexible, so if you have other commitments we can probably work around them.  Initially a casual position with view to becoming permanent if we are all getting along well.
